For a very long time I've said the 63 Corvette & the E Type Jag both set the standards in styling back in that era. Both were radical but in different ways & instantly made history, the wish list, and stole the show everywhere one showed up. The Cobra was the next gem to do the same.

Model T

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's a Model A "commercial vehicle". Ford gave the commercial "truck" a different rad surround than the passenger cars, but going from memory the Model T had wooden spoked wheels right thru to the introduction of the Model A. The front bumper & wire wheels are the same as used on the 28 Model A I bought & restored back in the 80's.

You could be right, I'm no expert on the old Fords. As compensation for my probable mistake, I'm offering herewith a picture of a Model T, complete with wooden spokes.

Now that's a Rust "T". Note that it doesn't have any front brakes. If I remember right the transmission also worked as the brakes. The other photo of what I think is a Model A has a large hub in the center of the wheel which clamped tightly to the brake drum. I think Ford realized the new car was going to be fast enough to need better brakes than the T had. Back in the 80's the general manager of the car dealership I worked at had a T Touring & everything about it mechanically was new to me because very little of it's design was carried forward from the trans to the ignition etc. The Model A however had much more conventional design when compared to what was used for the next 50 years.

Beautiful car! Love the wheels. I love the first pic, but the second seems too wide with nothing really going on in the background/foreground. I would love to see some more detail shots of that one.
