Have any of you shot at one of the convention center tournaments where they use the temporary RED courts? They reflect terribly on players' skin, and make their faces bright red. I have tried adjusting with PP in Aperture, but it tends to make everything else take on a green tone.
Any tried and true methods out there?
I use an ExpoDisc to take a custom white balance... which now that I think of it wouldn't help with what you indicated. But, probably the reason it hasn't been an issue, is that I also use an XRite Color Checker and then create a profile from that in LightRoom which color corrects very well. You can then also use that to grab a grey sample to reset the white balance during processing too. And of course, you would want to shoot RAW in that setting. You lay the color checker on the court and take a shot of it, which would have all the red reflection on it.
