Had a great learning experience photographing the Xfinity and Sprint series in California.. All of the other photographers were very professional and courteous.

Great shots, what was your camera setup?


canon 30d, canon 1d mkIII, 50mm 1.8, 18-55mm, canon 1.4 extender, canon 400mm f2.8 IS, canon 70-200 f2.8 IS II, Canon 16-35mm f2.8,Pocket Wizards,430 ex II, 580 ex II, Canon 430 EX, sigma SA-9, 70-300 5.6, 28-80mm(which I NEVER use)

The track acess was key... #4 I was on the outside of the track between turns 3 and 4 shooting through a cutout in the debris fence... It was really un-nerving having the cars heading right towards you @ 190mph

Turn 1 was 206mph. It was awesome

Great shots! Love that they aren't all just the cars. I am trying to break myself of that problem. Again great shots.
