I was born in Hamburg German. Moved to Australia with my parents as a four year old. Grew up about 120 kilometres south of Sydney in the Shellharbour area. Shellharbour is still our base, we have property there.

We have been living and working in Asia since mid 2007, in Laos since late 2007. My wife started working in Laos managing an education project for AusAid in early 2003. She was offered another job so we packed up a moved abroad together. We were tired of being separated. I'm working as a teacher.

A couple of more years until early retirement then moving back to Shellharbour, a town known for beautiful beaches.

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

I was born in Poland, came to the U.S. when I was 15 and I love it here.

I have a little weather station on-line that I have a "weather cam" connected to. This shows our downtown area...it's a big town with two traffic lights. The image below is an archived image from the weather cam. The link is to a slightly larger image (1600x896) that updates every 20-25 seconds so you can pretty well see what's happening in the booming metropolis and...the weather.

ETA, the weather cam is simply a Logitech HD Pro C920 webcam with a -2 diopter fastened to the front of it to fix it's "near sightedness"...we call it the "Hubble Fix". <grin> The camera is enclosed in a security camera housing.
