These are wild Rainbow Lorikeets that visit our suburban back garden in Brisbane, for occasional baths in the dishes of water we leave out for the wildlife.

Cheers

Dennis

Awesome action shots Dennis, #1 is special.

Amazing!

1st pic has comical expression. :-P

Thanks guys, their exuberance and unbridled joy are quite delightful to watch, and experience, through the viewfinder.:-)

Cheers

Dennis

Fantastic images - these are beautiful birds and what a treat to watch them in the birdbath! Good catch.

nice shots everyone!

I took my EF 200mm f/2.0 with Canon Extender EF 2X III to the zoo yesterday the first time. I do not like the images at all.

Took the 100-400mm IS II to a wildlife reserve earlier today. The IQ is much better: sharper, better contrast and not as much CA as the 200mm with 2X. Canon really put great work into this lens! The 200mm should be by itself or with the 1.4X.

Here is a Forster's Tern (Sterna forsteri) fishing at the reserve:

Cropped:

Taken at a local wildlife preserve. All except the wolf are high-ISO shots.
