Radders. I hired this lens for RIAT and Donna Nook, mostly I wanted it for RIAT but they cancelled the RIAT event due to bad weather. I was gutted.

it was so much fun to use. 800mm was sharp as a tack. Would love to own this lens.

Cheers Adam, I think it's time I start saving. Might take a year but it'll be worth the wait.

Is this a lens that needs a tripod, or could someone handhold it? (ie; pointing upwards to aircraft)

Sorry for the late reply. Well I'm defo going to rent one, not sure when, ideally over a week and do a various of things with it. Mainly aircraft though..

If I like it, I can't see me getting one for at least a year though!

Can't find that photo, think Adrian has taken it off his hosting site. Will drop him a PM :)

One of the least discussed lenses in the world, and one of the most enticing. I'm studying this lens post a whimsical purchase of a Sigma 120-300mm almost a month ago just before a 3 week trip to Alaska. I'm a fan of Sigma and own several other models-and I'm strongly looking at the Sigmonster.
Can someone please help with a few questions?
Does this lens have any weather sealing?
Has any one used it on a Canon 6D or 70D? I've got a T2i but it's been modded for astro so I can see using it. How about a 5D mark iii ?
I love all areas of this hobby and would like to add birds and birds in flight BUT is this lens too slow for BIFs ?
Thanks for any clues.
