I now have a 50D and am considering using ML on it. It would be handy for an upcoming project where I will have to do some video work. The lack of on board audio won't be an issue for this job. It also appears to have quite a few advantages for still work. I used to use the Russian 10D hack on my old 300D so am not adverse to this sort of thing. I do though get a bit worried about the number of times they refer to bricking your camera, and the fact that there is not a "stable" release for the 50D. How much should I worry about this? How many of you are out there using a 50D with a current version of ML on it? How do you find it on the 50D?

Good number of people use ML on a 50d as the cheap alternative to 5dIII raw video, especially when it first came out.

50d is on the supported list so I wouldnt be worried too much about bricking. I even run the unsupported beta on my 5dc without any concerns.
