Very nice. I also took a look at your Smugmug site, what is the main block on your home page that shows individual photos from different galleries as one collage called?

Regarding these pics, I see you still had 4000 pixels across while using a 200mm, how did you get so close? (I estimate about 30-40meters?

The Smug Mug design is Willow and im fairly close for the first one as being the media accredited side of the fence the only thing between me and him is a barrier and a few meters of grass and tarmac so infact the first image is downsized from the original 5472 as no need for a crop and fills the frame at 200mm.

Second one at 400mm is a fair crop and resize back upto 4000 pixels longest edge but with a fair bit of compression at 50% in Lightroom 5.

Bad day for that poor blackbird...
Had about 5 seconds to get the shot. The 7D MK II did a great job, even it was raining, the light wasn't great and i had to shoot the 400mm 2.8 IS USM handheld + holding an umbrella.

It has been about 4 months since I pressed the shutter on my 7D2. Long cold winter is over. Just gulls and stuff but I just went out to shake some rust off.
