My graphics card could not take advantage of LR CC ability to use the GPU, so a bit of cascade of the old card in my main pc to my older pc and a new graphics card for my main pc and LR CC does work much faster when it can use the GPU

Thanks the Lightroom insight, my graphics card does meet the min spec but would prefer to get the LR6 standalone that is for download upgrade but so far no physical DVD as was there for previous upgrades. In the past the upgrade edition was released within days of the full edition.....so when if at all this time?

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

These shots I took last year in York Minster, they were 3 shots taken hand held for HDR, I did render them in Photoshop and have re-rendered them in LRcc

I think so, certainly a lot simpler and quicker to do, also you end up with a RAW (DNG) file and not a PSD or TIFF so it is far easier to use all of LR Development Module adjustments.

Hey Mungo, can't answer that for you, looks like a good bargain for someone, I will ask about for you.

in the meantime:

Weatherman said no rain for the day so we went for it - 3 1/2 hours each way, few dry but grey hours followed by a lot of wet hours - took the whole drive home to warm up and stop shivering lol.

1DX, 300mm 2.8 mkII hand held as usual (HUGE thanks to the guy that invented IS)

#1 1/500, f/3.2, iso 160 a little moist, thankfully the kit is weather proof

David cracking bikes once again.

Dom - really liking the headdress on this one, more detail than you can shake a stick at. Superb.

My 'little' bit of news. . . . . wasn't going to but decided to ask the bank about past loans / PPI etc etc etc. Didn't think anything would come of it BUT last week I got a nice surprise and today I went and got this (excuse the 1st two iphone shots - I was excited)

Sorry - had to share

Big weekend racing this weekend so hopefully I will be well enough to lift it for 10 hours a day - may have to give in and use a monopod

Hi guys, long time no speak! I hope everyone is OK?

David, lovely lens mate.. always thought the DO series had green bands though? Look forward to seeing some shots from it...

I've not been about much, not keen on this forum set up now so I don't use it much, but I'm slowly getting used to it.. I've popped on tonight to look up info on 6D's as I've just bought one with a 24-105, early b'day present and my first FF! :)

Some photos from a few nights back doing what I love best with a camera, taking photo's of aircraft! A rarity on UK soil one of these..

Hey Radders, really good captures of the big guy - that is one serious looking plane!

It's not a DO lens it's an L hence the red ring - 200-400 with built in 1.4. Still can't actually say the price out loud as it gets caught in my throat lol only got it due to the payout, wouldn't have even considered it otherwise.
