I was wondering if anyone can tell me if you can directly connect an Ipad to a Canon 7D to view the photos taken on a larger screen as you take them? Sounds seriously impracticle I know but there is method to my madness......if it's possible

Nice with wireless and works for both iPad and iPhone. loves shapes, color and light • fotograf eskilstuna

In my case, I used a Raspberry Pi 2 with a WiFi dongle setup in access point mode and connected to it using my phone. It wasn't exactly a compact setup, but it worked quite well. I believe you could do something similar with a phone and your iPad (phone physically connected to the camera, iPad connected to the phone over wifi).
