I just came by this thread - I've been doing this for a while - the kid in the first two photos is my son at age 9, and age 18 from last week at Hill College JuCO (non multi exposure). The rest are ones I've done for friends over the years.

Did this one earlier this year:

So my 6D can't do multi-exposure this fast in-camera, and I don't have PS yet, but have LR5. Anyone use LR with the Enfuse add-in to do this? Curious if it works.

Mostly Canon Stuff. Flashpoint Explor600/Zoom Li-On. Always learning.

Got a chance to shoot actual professionals (AA Southern League) the other night and did a couple of composites... using PS layers.

I'll add an attempt....My son wants to be a pitcher when he gets to the kid pitch league.

IMAGE: http://action-photo.smugmug.com/photos/i-dxN3pFS/1/L/i-dxN3pFS-L.jpg

Running off to continue to wish I had better glass and faster frame rate.

At work at the moment, will have to confirm the camera settings later.

I've been wanting to try this but I don't know how. Do you think this would work:

Mount the camera on a tripod
1. Focus on the pitcher
2. Switch to manual focus so focus doesn't change???
3. High speed continuous shooting
4. when the pitcher goes into his motion start firing, say 6fps.
- Let the pitcher mover thru the frame of the stationary camera
5. blend with layers in PS

ptcanon3ti: That's pretty much how I do it, minus the tripod. I use a monopod and hold it as still as I can. You don't necessarily have to be in manual either, just put it on "One Shot" and focus on pitcher before he starts his windup and hold it halfway down so it stays locked.... then fire away when he starts. Be sure to frame him to the left at the start so you'll have plenty of room for him to finish his follow thru. Tripod will make it easier due to the pics being aligned perfectly, but also harder to position. I shoot on a monopod, then put all the layers in one PS document, expand the canvas a little to make room and select all layers, then under edit, align layers and it will use the background to line them all up for you, then get to masking! :)

Excellent! Thanks man!

I suck at layers and have NO idea what you're talking about when you said: "then put all the layers in one PS document, expand the canvas a little to make room and select all layers, then under edit, align layers and it will use the background to line them all up for you, then get to masking!"
