I don't get a chance to shoot many bird images but I get lucky every once in a while and catch myself in the right spot at the right time

Lucky is right! That's a great shot of a fast flier usually seen in poor light. Well done indeed.

Thank you all! I don't know the official name of the bird but that is what my dad always called them and it just kinda stuck. They are beautiful birds.

Great shots.
The mouth looks similar to a Tawny Frogmouth which I find locally, same order: Caprimulgiformes
