Here's another example from the same set. At the time, I never noticed the dead tree/bush behind the hood, so probably should have repositioned or something. Anyway, same editing process as the shots above.

I think I'm just about done and did as much as I could.

I think you nailed it. Great work! :)

I started with picking the right exposure and color correcting in Lightroom. For removing the rig, I moved the driver's head back a little bit, then had to literally paint in the rest of the wing, head rest, and roll hoop. After that, I added two cones from another exposure and fixed the sensor dust/vignette.

Its over edited, but used 3 different pictures to create the final scene that I wanted.

Great job of getting the rig out and making the bar and spoiler.. I did notice that you forgot to get rid of the rig shadow though. ;-)a

thank you! There's something else I accidentally left also ;)

Here's another photo from that set, one that I took some inspiration/influence from GF Williams' GT86 photo (edit video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwlfBx3e4ug (external link))

I did a base color correction for all of my layers in Lightroom, then layered all of my flash images in Photoshop, set all layers to "lighten," and masked out the ugliness from there. I then took the car and dropped it onto my background, morphing the image slightly to fit against the car on the background plate.

For the flare, I followed Phlearn's method of creating light rays, in which you create a few curves adjustment layers of various brightness's and mask them off in the rough shape of the beam you want to make, some masks with a wider beam than others. To get the glow, you apply a large Gaussian blur to the masks, playing with the blur size until you get the look you're wanting. I did have a smoke machine on hand and powered up, which would have made for a more realistic look, but time for the shoot ran out before I could play with it.

It's been a while since I've posted, but I've still been shooting! Been getting out of my comfort zone a little on this one, maybe took it too far!

I would love to see a thread where people would be willing to share images before, and after, editing (and possibly a brief description of what was done).
