Need my first back pack recommendation

Hi everyone,

Ok, so I only have a LowePro event messenger 250 or something and am trying to find a backpack that I can take to California (carry on hopefully persona item) Ideally it doesn't have ot be Think tank expensive but around that $50 mark on amazon/ebay. Id prefeer the style that just unzips and opens up exposing all the compartments at the same time, nothing like a sling.. something like this:

Id be holding the following:

60d
70-200
17-50
speed light
would like a tripod strrab on side but bottom horizontal would be nice too
a few 100m or screw on ND filters

I am using a Case Logic SLRC-206BLACK. it is a little dearer but I find it excellent. It will do what you ask for storage and also has a laptop compartment. It is quite rugged and the gear is well padded. It will also have room for an extra couple of lenses if you expand down the line.

My mistake the first time around was I purchased a bag that was too small, when I acquired extra gear I had to get another bag!

That Canon 200EG bag holds a ton of stuff - definitely the amount you would need. I've fit two cameras and big lenses without a problem in mine.

I'll second the Canon 200EG It fits all my items in my sig and I can put a tripod on the side of it without a problem.

Guys, thanks for the recommendation on the 200EG.. it's actually perfect! I don't even mind the olive tone on on it adds to the overall look. Yes, definitely room for everything and im quite impressed!

I wasn't too fond of the Olive color to begin with but it's grown on me. For the price the bag can't be beat if you ask me.

Have used one for 3+ years and it has held up well. Holds quite a bit and has many handy storage pockets.

I very much like my lowepro video fastpack 250, top compartment, and tripod on side.

Now there is a new Lowepro Fastpack 250 II (non video) and I may get it...

Lowepro is trash. Go for Think Tank or F-stop. Don't be cheap.
