Last year, an invader of some sort came in and took all the babies away, a very sad time for the parents, who grieved terribly for a long time. This year they seem to have the babies split into 2 separate dens, for security's sake. This was at den #2, and there were just Momma fox, a very sociable sort, and 2 of the 5 babies. AFter this photo session, I saw Mom heading over to den #1, which is maybe 100 yards or so away from this one.

Fantastic Ian, It looks like a well groomed lawn in some of the images, are they near a home?

Many thanks to all for commenting. Pekka, I'm with you on number 5. And Keith, their dens are at a yet to open golf course that a friend of mine owns. There's lots of room for the foxes and nobody around, yet, to bother them. Except me ߘ
