Not sure if the metal hood/magnet plan will work as I don't have the sport version, but I hope you recover the hood Dre.
The light really was bad today but the rain stopped and I wanted to give it a go. I'm just getting used to this whole back button focusing. The results are encouraging. These Cowbirds were both F6.3 600mm and ISO400 @1/160th sec

Nice work with the bikes!
Was sorting through some older unprocessed photos. I liked the moody winter light and tiny bit of snow on the twig to the left. This is set to an 11x14 ratio. F6.3 at 600mm EXIF intact

Got along to a Porsche club super sprint event on the weekend with the D4 and 1.4x and 2.0x tc's

After sorting an issue with the camera body, this lens focusses as fast as my 70-200/2.8 VR1 even with the 1.4x tc. Surprising for me was how quick it remained with the 2.0x tc - barely perceptibly slower but with a very occasional hunt

I took a little trip west in April, getting home in early May--about a month and 6500 or so miles of driving. Among the things I took was my Sigma 120-300mm f2.8 Sport and the Sigma 1.4 and 2x TCs.

A 120mm view of the rural area as you approach Devil's Tower National Monument.

A tighter shot, still 120mm. I don't think you can see the people in the frame.

This is a crop from the image above. Here two people are visible in the lower right corner and one just above mid-level is climbing the face of the rocks.

The same climber, with the 2x TC on the Sigma for a 600mm shot.

Canons to the left, Canons to the right,
We hold our L glass toward the light,
Digitizing in a snap reflective glory
That will forever tell our imaged story.
