Even though 55mm is narrow, I am finding this lens very good for walk around.

since I had bad luck with focusing birds, I was trying to get more DOF out of f10/f11.
do you have suggestions I could try? I want to do more when the weather clears up.

I got one to replace an older IS version. I definitely prefer the focussing abilities of the STM version, it's like night and day to the older version.

Also quite impressed by the close focussing, this is only slightly cropped.
