Well I think you did a decent job with it. I think if there was just a better way to ease the blur in it would help the eye agree with it better.

The wind was blowing crazy, so I think that was the issue. But the whole thing got me thinking, and yesterday I went out to create something as realistic as possible, but still fake.

I have a friend that owns my dream lens, the 300/2. He also owns a 200/2, and did some focus tests for me the other day, and I applied them yesterday.

This is what a shot from a 500/2 would look like, if the lens existed (and it would weigh approximately 60 lbs, and be somewhere in the neighborhood of a million dollars).

In all honesty, it's not that much different from the 200/2. It would really all depend on the location.

Yeah I saw this on Flickr this morning. It's definitely easier on the eye than the other. I really like this one!

Nice shots, did you use separate exposures for the car/ground and the sky or is it all one photo?

Yeah, it's pretty quick. Here's a speedo video on the 35psi tune that made 666WHP.

Doing fun stuff in a parking lot before the car decided it didn't need a crank pulley anymore.

Wow, you almost never see a shot like that without shallow dof. Looks good, just needs the pole and lines removed from the roof.
