Challenge #535 - Moving Water(s)
I'm thinking waterfalls, rivers, rain, sprinklers, faucets, ocean waves.... whatever you can come up with. I'll try to pick a couple that "float my boat" so to speak. Feel free to be as creative as you want to be!
Teekay: What a beautiful shot! The wildness of the waves, the dark skies, all conspire for a great photo! Thank you so much. I wasn't too sure about the concrete shark fins at the base of the pic but otherwise these waters are very moving.
Trumper: Fun shot of "dog was here". Very expressive, and it fits the challenge to a tee. Loved the dog's tail, exit stage right.
gewb: Awesome detail of water in motion. I love the two color, 3D sculptural quality of this shot. A great non-traditional shot of a waterfall. Love it.
Raven: Really cool shot. I love the Y formation of the falls and the sharp focus with the great foreground framing. Thanks for this photo!
Maureen: Can't find anything to criticize. This photo takes me back to my own boyhood. This is such a dynamic picture. You've captured joy and motion and fun all in a beautiful picture. Thanks for sharing this one, it's a gem!
rpolitsr: You've got a beautiful abstract here with really great colors, motion, and splash! I love this one for many of the same reasons I liked gewb's. It's not a traditional water picture. His was black and white, yours is beautiful color. Thanks for this cool shot!
JimAskew: The blues, purples and golds of that sunset over the surf are amazing! The detail of the couple holding hands makes it so personal and enjoyable. Great capture!
pwdieter: Lovely detail of water cascading over the rock overhang. l like the snail and the glass ball. Did you use a neutral density filter to achieve that nice water effect? A slow shutter speed for sure but it sure looks nice! Thanks so much.
1. gewb- I felt this one fit the challenge perfectly.
2 Maureen- This one needed to split #1 but I'll put it in the sweet spot. Great, great shot!
3. rpolitsr/Raven -I cheated a little and picked two for one slot since I couldn't choose between them. Blame it on the fact that I'm a substitute this week.
Great shots everyone. Thank you for all your beautiful submissions!
