I came here yesterday thinking I type the wrong url after so long. First thing in my mind was "wrong site" doesnt look this bad, then after a google search still came back to this site :S

Had to navigate to the lens section to see few threads and trying to log in to confirm this was the right site.

It makes it hard learning a new forum software, vbulletin was pretty much universal on the web, easy to navigate, very nice looking and friendly gui. Theres a reason why its #1.

If it shares the same database, why cant users have a choice in personal settings? or a more designed friendly gui, right now this forum AMASS looks like beta software on the eyes.

Gotta get use to it i guess but wish we had a choice :(

You concluded that after a whole day? Why did you wait so long?

Give it some time. You'll get used to it. AMASS is FAR SUPERIOR to vbulletin.

You are so right. I bet that anyone who thinks otherwise has spent hundreds of hours on V-Bulletin, and only a few dozen hours here on AMASS. If anyone were to give equal time to each, I am sure that they would favor AMASS in every single category, including "look" and "feel".

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

:(

Universality and standards do not make for what's best. Innovation is disruptive, right? I had my naysays and gripes with the new forum design to start with, but there are lots of features that have been participating a lot better than vBulletin. There are some aesthetic aspects that I don't care for, but those are small nits. This forum is much for functional than any vBulletin forum I've come across elsewhere.

Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.

It's kind of funny, I've been part of POTN since '07, and I put up with any "quirks" because I valued the community so much, both as a photography forum and also as a place where I could "socialize" with other members...

I got involved with the AMASS Beta, OK..

Then I encountered some issues, physical stuff, hospital stays and such and lost touch...

Got back in touch, and we had AMASS! Well, I still put up with any "quirks" because I valued the community so much, both as a photography forum and also as a place where I could "socialize" with other members!!

Some folks seem to want to drop out because of forum changes, well, umm...I'm here for the community (even if a lot are shooting Nikons!!:)!

Now, when I visit other forums that I frequent, I catch myself thinking "Why is the forum not working right today?" Then I remember that the other forums aren't running AMASS... ;-)a
