I like the shot also. I think gradient is due to HSS. HSS doesn't come for free IMHO.

Are you talking about the light falloff from the modifier? (gradient)

Joey...... what sharpening technique are you using???

Joey--your images are really excellent! It's what made me join the forum today. Next week, I'm getting an Elinchrom Ranger Quadra 'S' head-and-pack, plus an Elinchrom ECO ringflash, and I'm really excited to see its HyperSync capabilities. In the meantime, I'll post some older HSS shots:

Wow, this has got to be the sexiest pics ive seen in a while!

Lighting test for a different shot, B1 at 2 o’clock for shaping, sun at 8 o’clock. 85mm f1.2 ISO100 1/5000sec. Unsure if this counts as it was a rim light. Also used a diffuser. No ND filter though!

Sorry I am missing something. I don't see any shaping. Is that B1 at 2 O clock behind her?

Yes, the rim light. The B1 was going to be more of a fill, but turned out, in this shot to just add edge highlights. Still technically OCF HSS, but not as a Main or (much) of a fill. (Probably more like half past two).
