I understand. Sometimes it takes some creative shuffling/selling and buying to make it all happen. Been there several times as gear changes.

Well we will keep this thread moving with some more pics. This is an awesome lens for food. Gives the food some dimension on the plate and the MFD lets you get super close.

Here's some photos I got while we were in Asheville. We bought two road bikes at REI, loaded them up in our car, drove straight to Asheville and went for a ride. The trail we chose was pretty tough - 3.5 miles uphill the whole way. No flat spots, no downhill. Coming back was awesome tho! Luckily there were some awesome views along the way that made it worth it.

Got a new phone mount for my bike so I can track speed and distance. Naturally had to take some pics.

These are my favorites...

Very nice fireworks shot...a frame would compliment it nicely. Though the capture of the fireworks is sharp and colorful, the carnival atmosphere at ground level kicks the image up several notches over your standard fireworks shot! Nicely done!

The panning shot of the buggy is nice, too. At first I thought your shutter speed was too slow and imparted too much movement into the horse and buggy. Then I thought about the fact that the horse wasn't running 50-100mph and to get the motion you needed the slow speed. It all works, and for some reason the blur in the horse and buggy tends to give me an "aged" feeling. Maybe a copy of it in black and white with a little added grain would be interesting? Nice shot.

Ed

Thank you for your feedback and suggestions!
You're right, I shot the panning shot during a city festival, so the buggy was very slow.
