I wonder if Facebook has some settings not allowing the use of links? Anyway from one Michigander to another have fun with the new lens!

I was wondering that too! Thanks! I may try it on some wedding pics tomorrow too!

Hi guys, I just got my copy but the blades has marks, can you guys take a look at your lens? I should probably exchange this. Sorry about the crappy iPhone photo.

Mine has the same marks. I'd say it is normal for the lens by the looks of it

Anyone some action photos?
Im leaning towards buying the 1.4 USM, because of its USM.
I undersatnd for static objects the stm should do fine, but I have 2 young kids running around, which need some serious focus speed.

Eos M, 5DII, and some lenses.

A lot of it will depend on your camera too. STM is pretty quick on the other STM lenses. I haven't tried the 50 STM for action on my 70D yet. For $125 though, I think you should try it for yourself ;-)a Or bring the kids to your local camera store and see for yourself.

Even though the STM AF is a little slow on the 24 STM, 40 STM, and 50 STM, as others have shown, it is fast enough for most things.

All the other STM lenses are very fast.
