I wonder what we all like in head shots and portraits? Having trolled through all 52 pages the images that really grab my interest are the ones that have a good focus, good eye contact with catch-lights and a smile. Apart from the candid's, kids and quirky there are some technically really good images here but without a smile the subject looks bored and disinterested and for me I loose interest. I think a smile lights up the image. I suppose we're all different in what we like but for me a smile and eye contact does it every time and I'm more likely to linger longer over those shots.

This is a beautiful image of a beautiful lady; framing is a bit different but I think it works very well.
