Wedding planners are worth every penny and I wish we hired one, literally losing my hair from all the work!

We planned most of the details ourselves. We visited various and finally booked the venue (Milton Hoosic Club); scoped out and hired the caterer (Spice and Rice Thai restaurant in Cambridge); rented tables, chairs, dishes and silverware (Peterson Party Center); made our own save the dates, invitations, menus, table decorations, flowers and bouquets and boutonnieres. It was stressful and at times challenged our patience with each other, but we grew from it and it turned out okay. A/V and master of ceremonies was the easiest because we used a popular bi-lingual guy in the Vietnamese community and he worked with some sound people. We loved our videographer (Jeff Brouillet), but ironically since I'm on this forum we hated the photographs from our wedding. She booked through Bella Pictures (I think they're defunct now) and we were assigned someone who liked to take our portraits under harsh sunlight instead of in the shade and really made our families look like a well-dressed refugees.

Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.

Took some family photos for friends of a friend yesterday. This was around noon time and the sun did help to cause some significant CA fringing. I need to go back and see if I can work on reducing the fringing.

Be careful if you're planning on buying gear from local CL. Thinking we might see some of this stuff for sale in the area: https://www.lensprotogo.com/lensprotogo-robbed/ (external link)

Man that sucks.

I hope they plaster up all the serial numbers everywhere and catch the donkeys that did this.

You guys with your fun titles. I've been here a long time and never been blessed. Though "Goldmember" is not too bad.

Wow, now that is a vacation! I thought me 3 weeks of camping in July was a lot.
- Ken

Well, Ken, rest assured - vacation it's not! More of a navy seals boot camp with two overtly energetic kids on me 24/7 for 7 weeks in Eastern Europe! I'd switch with you in a heartbeat! My real vacation is a meager 8 days in the South of France cause we have our 10th anniversary this year (and the dollar is pumping iron and the euro into the ground ;)

Off to google the "title fairy club" cause I feel like a not-too-smart and not-well-dressed refugee

PS I'd love to be awarded the "insatiable obfuscator" title, pls! :D

Where in south of France? I found Provence to be a photographer's paradise.

Ahhhhh flag day... you guys have odd days to have an excuse to let off fireworks that would normally be illegal to buy in many states...
