Did I do something wrong or not click on something? I followed this thread, a new post was made yet no purple notification bar. I can clearly see there is a new post because it was made 2 minutes ago and I just logged on. The attached photo shows what I see. It says nothing is new even though clearly there was. Then it tells me to click and see the first unread. how can there be nothing new if its asking me to go to first new unseen? I am confused.

Check the top right of the thread page.
At the right of the word FOLLOWED there is a checked (default) check box. You can click the check box to disable notifications, after a confirmation dialog.
If the check box is an empty square, you have disabled notifications. Click there again to enable them.

The box is checked. I am wondering why, if it says followed, in purple under the title, would I have to click another thing called followed to receive notifications? It did it again with another thread I am following. What confuses me is how it can say "nothing new" and then tell me to click to "go to first unseen". Seems like a contradiction. There is nothing new but click here to see new posts.

The funny thing is that is one of the threads that has done it to me. I am following that thread. I have notifications on. Yet, there were at least 4 pages of threads posted since I last read it and I received nothing.

Unless my reading comprehension is not so good, it appears that is supposed to be that way? I am more confused than I was before.

I've cleared my browser cache and went so far as to uninstall the browser and reinstall. Same result. Not only that, now I am getting a network error when manually checking for notifications and there is a dark grey bar across the screen. The close button is not clickable under the grey bar. Also, there are many threads that I am following and in the past 7 days, I have had 9 threads have new posts, and I have received only notifications once in that time. In some cases there are most than a page of new posts but I get nothing.
