I'm not really all that active on any forums but figured I'd confess here that I finally sold off my Canon gear. I got an x100s not too long ago as I wanted something smaller than my 5dmk2. Love the x100s and still use it a ton. I finally gave in an got rid of my 5dmk2 yesterday and now have an X-T1 with the kit 18-55 2.8, and the 35mm 1.4 and I'm loving it!

For what I shoot, I think the Fuji is going to fit my style much more, and hopefully the change of gear will help inspire some fresh creativity. The Canon and few lenses I had basically got no use.

So, that's my big announcement. I know, not too exciting.

I have barely had a chance to use the X-T1 since getting home with it last night. I was on vacation from work for the last 2 weeks and I should've got it at the beginning of the vacation, and not the last night of it.

The x100s did come on vacation with me though! Still learning how to use it.

Picked up a new XF35mm F1.4 this morning to see the improvement in AF that FW4 brings, grabbed quickly into a bright background. Not as quick as the XF16-55 f2.8 but not bad at all.

I have no complaints about the 35mm. I had to have it since my favorite Canon lens was the 50L that I literally had welded to my 5D II. Well, maybe I do have 1 complaint...the external focusing of the front elements...makes me think of the nifty fifty I once had lol.

Sold off my Nikon gear and switched over to Fuji.

Shot with a Fuji X-E2 and 35mm 1.4. Love the jpgs this thing puts out. Ive always been a RAW shooter, but I barely had to touch the jpg. 1/10 of a stop bump in exposure, some sharpening and a crop.

Stuck the XF 16-55 F2.8 WR onto the X-E1 this morning, yep it had difficulty locking on & took a few tries to attain focus but then got this one. That lens is definitely designed to work best on the X-T1

Thanks very much, those Fuji's punch far above their weight as fas as I'm concerned. I find I'm using my Canon gear much less than I thought I would.
