As the sun started to go down (yes, a break in the rain saw some evening sunlight) found me in the front garden where the bees were gathering for the night foods. Managed a few shots with varying degrees of success, but too bad for me seeing as it was handheld using the viewfinder, as well as a spiderling that had it's food gathered already - a crown in it's jewelled life considering it's tender age having captured and secured a hoverfly (see what I did here?)

Bought a cheap super telephoto lens a couple of weeks back to try a bit of wildlife/bird photography. Just wish the British weather would give me more opportunity to use it!

Been on a mini holiday to Lower Hutt and Wairarapa, several hours south of me. These two shots just quick snaps as I leapt out of the car into a cold cold wind.

Tamron 17 - 50.
