Especially given no sharpening or noise reduction image at 100% crop............. At a 100% as a print this image would be approx 1 meter in size at 240 dpi..or twice the size+ of a Mk3 print and lstill ook the same in IQ. .Now take a 5dMk3 image of same subject at 100% enlargement and then enlarge to 240%(approx size a 5dsr image is) and then look at it. It will be all pixellated and blurred.... ..This is why this camera is great for people who crop a lot and still want reasonable large image.....Also works the otherway in regards to reducing image size. As you get smaller in an image noise becomes less apparant....images also look sharper......So if you start large as in 50 megapixels high IQ and work to a smaller size image( say 25 megapixels) you still get a super high IQ at this smaller size. ( 25megapixels of data) Clipper

(4 edits in all) | Jun 24, 2015 01:23 | #25 Had to get a new wide zoom lens today to replace the 24-70 f2.8 mk1 thats terrible on my %DSR....Settled on the 16-35f4L IS. Its sharp sharp sharp!!...ANd handheld is now ok again at low speeds thanks to IS .....Who needs the 16-35 2.8 when you get 4 stops lower handheld because of the IS on the F4.....Its actually better handheld way lower than the 2.8 can be held....and all I lose is a bit of DOF but who cares ....Its a wide angle lens first and formost and I dont think I will be shooting too many tubjects that will require that extra small amount of DOF to make it better visually to what I can get with f4 Clipper
