Idk what else to expect from a camera. Maybe integrated crop option like the new 5ds?

Thanks for posting all these great shots.

Received my copy today. Had a battery charged and waiting, and spent hours reading and setting it up, and I'm still not done, but I am impressed beyond with this body!

Haha that's smart, I received mine at the end of a particularly long night shift, walked down to the store and got it, walked home planning to have a play before going to bed, and..... dead flat battery :P

The "life is good at the beach" sign is actually the key holder in my house. Now that it is officially winter here in Australia I decided to dress it up as my winter survival pack.

Got a few shots off of this young Woodpecker getting fed by his Mum on my bird feeder this morning. Shot through glass and most of the shots were at ISO 5000. This, for me, is when the 1Dx justifies its price:

Lovely capture doofuss!
Have you tried this image in monochrome? I think it may be even better.

Ideas please guys n gals.

Really grey and dull day yesterday although still bright, limited the iso to 3200 and with +1 > +2 Ev I was still right at the top and the shots took quite a lot of work to lose the noise - I thought it was supposed to be awesome at handling noise? Using my usual racing setting of a slightly modified case 1 (tracking -2, accel/decel tracking +1, AF pt auto switching 0 )

Few of the ones that came out okay'ish after the PS treatment.

Normally I shoot motor racing with no problems but BiF really are making me doubt my ability - I find it difficult to get the initial focus lock and 90% of the shots miss the focus all together - is it because I am a bit stuck in my way's and refuse to 'machine gun' and prefer to take single shots only?

Any advise from the wildlife guru's would be greatly appreciated.

.DAVID.
