Nice series and very well done!!! Just shows what a small amount of equipment in the hands of a capable person is capable of producing!!!

Oh!...and a precious model!!!!! I've got three granddaughters, well, one is still on her way ;) , and they have granddaddy wrapped around their little fingers. ;)

I have one, and ditto the little finger!

Headshots for a client for her job.

3 600ex-rt setup triggered with a YN-E3-RT, Key Camera Left, Hair/rim camera right, both using 24 inch Neweer speed light soft boxes, and one set up behind the client with a large rogue flash bender shaped for light on background. Backdrop is savage seamless gray. Wife is holding 43 inch 5in1 reflector, using white as our fill on the 2nd final image.

Canon 5D3, pullback shot with 24-105L, portraits shot with 135L

Thanks for the BTS there. Looks like a great setup to provide a more visually interesting look. I'm wondering if pushing the right-hand light back a bit would eliminate the hotspot off her nose in the first shot. Looks like the side of her nose is at just the right angle to reflect that light source to the lens.

Thanks so much for the input. Still learning process for stuff like this, and I truly appreciate the feedback as now I can use this in the future when I do this again. And I agree, I'll push that back a bit more in the future. :)

Love Love Love the results you get with your set up, but man that is a serious light rig! Takes some dedication to get all that set up and timing right, I think I'm too lazy to do all that. Plus I assume you have someone to help corral the kids when you need to do this :)

Simple setup, two Canon 600EX's and the canon ST-E3-RT transmitter on an Canon 6D. 2:1 ratio between the two lights. Was for an local Macro competition, no macro lenses or extension tubes, so just did my best to get a good sharp image to allow for the most cropping.
