Great sunsets Jeremy! Especially like the last.

congratulations Richard - not surprised with the shots you're producing :-)

Great macro as always Robert and Paul, hope I haven't missed anyone.

From last night's dog walk at Clive, with the nifty fifty:

Bit lucky to get away with this one pointing up and no tripod:

Canon EOS 70D: added a Canon M5: A mixture of Canon, Sigma, Tamron and Tokina prime and zoom lenses, a Samyang fisheye, and just for fun a couple of Helios 44-2 58m..

Warming up in NZ yet Rose? It's horridly hot here now, so hot I don't want/have to force myself to go outside. Heat is one thing but the humidity is out the roof. And it's ok if you 'miss' me; we're all family here :)

Paul, beautiful beautiful Green Bottle...somehow I missed it first pass. The fly is perfect but the leaf setting is outstanding...color me jealous again. I heard that there is your (or mine) body weight of bugs in the typical backyard, can't prove that in my yard..unless I'm completely blind. Plenty of birds of course but I need variety in my photography life!

Thanks Van Gogh :)
Forgot to mention, if any are curious about my 'studio' macro rig a snapshot of it is in my gallery here at POTN. It's a constant work in progress. There is a pic of it (taken with a G1X mk2) in the G1X mk 2 thread-

Walking outside in the garden.
Sun is going under so the light is at it's best.

But the laugh is on me having to order them and raise them! That picture cost me 17 bucks! But I buy crickets once weekly for my dock spider so expensive eats for him :)

Last few days heavy frosts here and sunny afterwards but pretty cool. Lovely clear light though. South island had big freeze lady week down to -20 C overnight in some parts, with lots of black ice and resulting car smashes. Roll on spring!

Seriously good macro there and a serious set up too!

If this looks a little different, it is raindrops on a lake, sun is shining, and there is some ice floating about in the lake.

Managed to grab a quick shot of a mother wolf spider with some babies on her back as she dashed up along the side of the wheelie bin in the garden today - and then from underneath where the bin had been, found a couple of springies too.
