You guys are killing me me with your gorgeous cat shots! I'm going to an animal shelter tomorrow to meet a few kitties I've been looking at and hopefully I will take one baby home. Getting a mature cat...I'm too old for frisky kittens.

Great news - be sure to post a photo whenever you get him/her home!

Annie, I will. I can't wait to take home a lovely soul to love and pamper. I lost my baby of 17 years almost 2 years ago and the heart break was pretty hard. I'm ready to love another one :)

Introducing my new no-name baby! Guys, you were right; she chose me and just stole my heart. I went to a shelter with several possible kitties on my list and when I walked into the cat room the number 1 on my list bit my ankle really hard and some other cats were telling me off and suddenly here she was: both soft paws landed on my knees while I was standing and looking around, our eyes met for a few seconds, some sparks flew..at least in my mind...I picked her up and she melted into my chest. We were ONE!
She is 1,5 years old, had some kittens, is soft and gentle. She is super petite, maybe 6.5 lb, blue and white with absolutely striking eyes. I didn't care for the looks, I was going for the personality
Any ideas for a name? My husband is somewhat jealous, seriously! She follows me in the house, loves our leather couches and I feel the bliss all around me again

Hi itsallart...

Beautiful kitty, and you were both lucky to find one another. Also, two fine photos of your new friend.

As to a name, I'd suggest Sara. Don't know if you're old enough to remember the mid-1970s, but there was a group called Hall & Oates who sang a popular song called "Sara Smile". If you Google the lyrics, I think you might find a description of how you and your new kitty bonded.

Thanks
Tom in Arizona

OOOHHH what a beauty, look at that little face and that perfect little pink nose....:love::love:
Names are difficult. Sure hubby is a bit jealous.... he has to share you again with this lovely creature.... she will heal your broken heart. It doesn't go away that feeling but it gets better to handle.... GOOD luck with her.

Sandra, thank you very much. She now has a name...somewhat ordinary, Missy...that's what my family wanted :)

One of the farm cats staring at my terrier hunting rats.

Shot at dusk with fading light and 7D at ISO 1600 with 2x extender hence the noise.

It's a Bengal I believe. The markings along it's body are stunning :-)
