I agree, Don. Flowers are created with extraordinary details. Years ago (late 70's) I was traveling through the Florida panhandle (close to Paxton) and noticed a low-lying, marshy area. I decided to investigate it and found a literal Garden of Eden of wildflowers. I've got some of the old 35mm images somewhere in storage from back when I was learning to aim a camera...still had a lot of creative learning to do. But, there were dainty small yellow flowers that I'd never seen, some delicate white flowers with narrow but long petals curling downward, and pitcher plants...the pitcher plants were *everywhere*. There were other flowers, but these stand out in my memory. I've often wondered if that little bit of paradise still existed. I know it's general area but have no idea of it's exact location but one day maybe I can ride that area and possibly find it again.

Nice shot and thanks for posting it (and tweaking my memory!!!).

Looks like participation was light this past month. philk54 did a fine job picking some good challenges for us.

Now, darkslinger has laid July's challenge down for us....onward!!!!!!!!!! ;)

I was going to wait for tomorrow but I'd probably blank out and forget :-P

Hey darkslinger, I hope you didn't think I was rushing you. I was talking about other folks submitting their photos for the June challenge. But....it *was* nice to get the items for July quickly. :-D Good selections, too!!! Thanks!

As for blanking out and forgetting....uh,...uh...,er, now...what was we talking about?????? ;-)a

The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated! LOL

I figured since I assigned the topics for June, I'd better contribute.

Innocence:

Extraordinary: My daughter's extraordinarily LARGE cat. (I thought of using this for vacation, but this is really all he ever does, so it could have been work, too. ;-)a)

Thanks Ed. Back in my film/slide days I a snap shooter and wasn't into flowers. Missed out on a lot.

Nice set Phil.

Too bad the goslings grow up to be 'poop' machines.

The tree gnome is kool.

I'm here. Some fantastic posts for the June topics.
I ended up spending too much time thinking about what I should do for the topics and ran out of time.
We are really busy showing pigs at our fair right now and I only came up with a couple pictures to post.

All the kids work really hard raising and showing animals.
This one also applies to my vacation. :-(

Stina, 4H, FFA and county fairs are great summer venues in our area also.

We also have a sheared animal fiber fair in the fall which is quite interesting also.

Thank you. It actually flew right over our house, so I could have posted it in the Backyard Photos thread, as well. :-)

Phil, great colors in your vacation shot. As for your extraordinary shot your "fat cat" could've worked for vacation, too...seems all the fat cat's in our house and senate state on vacation more than not on vacation!!!! ;)
