Headed to Haleakala tomorrow for four days!!! Can't wait!!!

Had to sacrifice and leave the 6D at home. Taking my EOS-M, 22mm f/2 and 18-55mm (and four batteries!!!).

Fantastic, I can't wait. I will be in Maui for the first time for two weeks starting July 22nd! Looking forward to bringing a pile of gear in my F-Stop Loka! The EOS-M will be staying at home!

Just booked our trip to Kauai last night. My wife's brother lives there (has for over 3 years). Will be my 3 time there, the wife has lost track, our 11 year daughter, and my parents will be on trip #2 and my brother on his first time to Hawaii ever.

We can not wait. We will be staying with him in Lihue, he has a couple extra cars we can use and lucky us we booked everything using airline miles minus 1 alaska companion fair so its been a very budget friendly trip thus far.

if you are bringing all those gears.. why not just take the eosM along? :P

I really find having a smaller camera handy at times when you don't have time or don't want to bother taking out the dslr. but that's just me hehe.

but hope you have fun. I may do maui next year as my first time too

It sure makes the trip a lot less expensive. With us all having been there before we are going for a lot less touristy stuff this time around. I plan to be up for Sunrise and Sunsets and hope to get in some hiking as well.

And no trip is complete without at least 9 holes on one of the beautiful courses.

This is true.....but for those type of candid shots will always have the trust iPhone 6 .....anytime we ae out with any possibility of photo ops I will have my good gear on my side, at least with the Thinktank sling and a single lens worst case!

Hey do you have any idea where I can get F-stop bags.. I'm in Australia but I have some family in L.A.

I've looked at many bags but it seems I like them best.

Just order directly from the site, and either ship it to your family in LA or yourself?

I ordered direct and was pleased with the service and turnaround time. I also have the email of the manager and owner if you want to contact them directly.

Nice! My base weight (without water) for my 4 day/3 night trek was 32 lbs (plus another 3 liters of water!)!!! I had to make some painful sacrifices.

I went to Hawaii for my honeymoon and DID NOT want to come home. I absolutely love this place!

Haleakala crater at 3 am. Brightest moon I've ever seen. You could easily hiked without a flashlight! Kapalaoa Cabin.
