If you're over 40 and you have a problem Driving at Night with the Headlights blinding the living crap out of you, get your peepers checked for Cataracts.....As for the Cataract Surgery, from the time I was wheeled into the OR and out the Door was 15min, it was that fast. You are awake the whole time but the Fun Juice they inject you with makes you "don't give a crap"..............

I'll second that! If headlights dazzle or your optometrist even hints at cataracts, don't hesitate - get those old, clouded "meat" lenses taken out and replaced with plastic. I had both mine done in May a week apart and was immedediately ASTOUNDED by the improvement.:-D Eyesight now 20:20 like the fighter pilot I once was, and even colours are improved. The only downsides are that everyone looks more wrinkled (particularly in the mirror) and I can see more noise in my photos.;-)a

BTW, you don't need a sedative ("fun juice") unless you are very nervous and need it - I didn't, at least with my surgeon.

If anything I think it makes it easier for the Doc, don't want to take that chance with flinching...............

I put on my first pair of eyeglasses on May 5, 1957, and never took them off! It never bothered me.

I hear that from most. I don't know what it is about them, but I've never had a pair i liked, and I've never liked a pair I had. I do get the headlight thing though, so maybe it is time for a visit to the doc.
I would love life without glasses.

Does anyone know what has happened to Roger (20Droger). There's been no trace of him for seven months.

He posted that he's doing well. Go down to the "Who the heck . . ." thread for the story.

The Lounge index page indicates that I have posted to this thread. I forgot what I posted. Is there a way to find my post? And, I wonder why this CF card won't work in my 5DIII :p

At 65, I had to renew my driver's license, and for the first time since my twenties I did not need glasses to pass. A few months later, lymphoma hit and about one-third of the way through the chemo, my vision went nuts-each eye individually was fine. Together, it was double vision (try driving with one eye closed, left to right). About two-thirds of the way through chemo, my vision was back to normal????

I have the faintest traces of cataracts, so maybe in a few years I can experience the joy-juice too.

This be your post Keith...

Wow...glad I ran across this thread. Joined a few years ago but up till this spring didn't really visit much. Now that things have changed (long story) I find myself here just about every day. I was bit by the photography bug (Canon AE-1) a long time ago...recently I find myself spending a lot of time with photography and my new camera. Definitely meet the criteria for membership...lol
