Thanks.

The bulb breaking was done using a home built sound trigger on the flash. Pictures of the setup below, the trigger is on the blue PCB. The small flash behind the board was on the sound trigger, and the larger flash at the front was optically triggered from the first flash. For the final images I used CTO and CTB gels on the flashes.

I put the hammer on a pivot so that there was a better chance of hitting the bulb in the dark!

Taken at Crater Lake, OR back in May. The moon was up so the lake was nicely lit and that line on the left near Andromeda is the International Space Station passing by.

Well, it was cheaper and quicker than getting a black backdrop to hang there. The wife acceptance factor of the black paint was lower than I had hoped for though :)

This little camera is great for astrophotography...

Despite the blazingly bright full-moon I was able to get a couple Milky Way shots from Haleakala Crater this week!

Also got a nice shot of the sunrise over the Koolau Gap from Holuā Cabin.

M + Vivitar 8mm 3.5 fisheye manual focus, Sears 50mm 2.0 manual focus and the 22mm 2.0 STM.

venue had horrible lighting even for it being shot during the day with open windows, all shot wide open on the lenses and ISO 3,200.

Playing with my EOS-M and Sigma 105, but not an easy lens to use on the M.

Two from this weekend's backpacking trip up to Mystic Island lake.
Second shot was with a new moon at 3200 ISO, EFM 22, 15 seconds... I am pretty happy with the noise level but may try and reduce it a bit more. Definitely appreciate any feedback!
