I'm loving the Rotalux 175cm I just picked up! Still learning it but boy I love the softness! On another note, I've had enough of my cheap useless Bessel 'gridded' strips, so I'm dropping some notes on 2x Rotalux 130x50's, but then I saw the cost of the lighttools frame and grid........... jesus.

There's still such a grid for Elinhrom Rotalux softbox 50x130cm, cost $ 110

Hi Martin!

Figures that it would take a grid to get you to show your face in here... ;-)a

How is the Elinchrom Reflektor Square 44cm?
Im wondering if I should get this one or the deep octa 100.

They are very different in both size and characther, depending on the usage one might be better suited then the other.

As for skyport, they have improved them over the years. Remember when they first came and i compared them to my PW's they failed horribly in comparison. Both in range and consistency.. Another story now, their MKII version has never failed on me and their MKII USB dongle with the skyport software is hard to beat in a studio setting.

PW's which been the gold standard for many years, got a rude awakening when they entered the TTL business....:-) So they certainly have their fair share of issues as well.

Luckily i rarely use TTL so I'm spared the headache of PW's newer systems.

There there now.. ;-)a

I have had no issues with their latest versions, either in the studio or on location.

Quite a few professionals who uses them on a daily basis with success so for them they don't "suck poo".
