I did think that and took the pictures to show it. ;-)a

If the sun rises through it, it could be the crack in the A$$ of dawn :p

:-D

It would be a sunset rather than a sunrise. There is a hill in the way which would prevent the sun actually shining in the crack unfortunately.

Thank you Clare.
I was just curious "why" they didn't dig it to show the amphitheater instead to left the hill on it ;)
Thanks a lot for the aerial view, it shows clearly that it's big

There is probably not a lot of the stone left. It will have been reused to build something else I would imagine.
On the other side of Cirencester there is a small stretch of an old Roman wall left, but not much.

Before any building work is done in Cirencester now, they have to have a group of archaeologists in to dig up the ground.
The building you can see in one of the pictures has had several builds done on their land.
Quite a lot of graves were found there, and in the most recent one, a gravestone which is rare.

Pete, I shot some fireworks with the brick and they are just fine...I think. Wide angle may be better but that's just my view :)

Compared to the lens I use the most, a Nifty IS wide angle! :-D

Woah, I guess it's back around to me! Sweet :D Hopefully it won't get stolen this time!

I don't have too much going on in July, but I'll be in Vegas the first week in August, so I should get some good stuff there! This should give me an excuse to go explore the area around here too. I just moved here a month ago and haven't really gotten around much.

Haha, I guess I've been a bit inactive lately. Ram sent me a PM, and I replied with my shipping details. We'll see when the lens gets here!

Oh, that's a good fence shot, Joeseph. Would also have been a great abstract! :)
