Those are nice, James. It's a great camera to have on hand.

Thanks, and yeah, it is, but too big for regular pants pockets and I don't carry a bag.

I bought the G15 to be an always-with-me camera, and it proved useful when I was leaving work the other day.

It was a beautiful warm day today and I captured this busy bee in the flowers.

Tried to follow this thread by checking "FOLLOWED". That didn't work, so I will try posting. I just ordered a G15, refurbished. Can't wait to try it out.

EDIT: OK, that worked.

Captured this from the balcony of our motel room in Bayfield, WI this past week. The full moon was casting a great reflection off the water. It was about 10 PM when taken, so I used a pocket tripod on the flower box of the railing, and let the G15 select in-camera HDR, f/1/8, 1/4 sec., ISO 800 (as shown in my EXIF). Turned out better than expected for a quick grab shot.

Ronnie,

Thanks. Yes, heavy camera gear takes the fun out of it sometimes. I took my G15 and Elph 110, and my wife brought the G9 for the trip to Bayfield. Much easier to carry, and even the Elph 110 does a great job with careful use. Here are a few more from the visit. There were sailboat races all week, so we saw plenty of sailboats on the water.

Dennis

Not the easiest thing to shoot with a G15, but it can be done if you're stubborn, or stupid enough to bring a non-working DSLR to the event. :)
