For this shot I was struggling to keep my lens dry as my camera was inches above the water and it kept getting splashed when the incoming wave would hit the rock in the lower left of the frame. I was about to give up on this location when a wave came over the rocks on the right, creating that sweet waterfall. When I looked at the image on the camera LCD it was too dark to see if I got a good shot of it so I decided to stay and keep shooting.
The water didn't break over the rocks again before the sun went down so I was happy that I was able to capture this one.
