I don't know why I find this interesting. Just adjusting some settings and snapped a test shot and for some reason it appealed to me. Am I going crazy in my old age?

Am I going crazy in my old age? ![]() ![]() 2015 ![]() i'll also guess one reason why you might be drawn to this is that it's a little reminiscent of escher's stuff. there's a little 3d eye trickery going on in the shadows between the left and right sides of the bars window. you can also see some shift in lighting from the left bar to the right bar--even though you know they're all the same colors, your eye is probably wondering what is going on. Thanks, the contrast from the orange peel texture I think is what catches my eye. But at least someone besides me finds it interesting and isn't that why we all take photographs, for our own enjoyment and to share with others that hopefully see something enjoyable in them also ? My wife often comments when I am editing photos "Oh thats neat" even though she was standing right beside me when I took the photo, yet didn't "see" the picture.

The wide light bars with dark stripes between them, starting from the left, gradually give way to darker light bars with lighter dark stripes between them as the eye moves to the right, as if those two elements were exchanging something.
