Used XT1 and 56mm on a shoot. This time I didn't even bring 5dmk3/85L with me as then I would switch to Canon. Here is one of the first shots, taken at f1.2. Eye detect doesn't help at all IMHO.

Overall I am quite happy with it but Fuji could use more MPs. Shot in RAW and very basic pp. Wish I had my strobes as I prefer some extra light, makes skin glow better.

AF speed is the big bit in FW4 so interested in how much better that aspect of using the 56mm is

Great portrait. She's the spitting image of my niece, so I might be biased, but the image quality is outstanding.

Haha, yes not biased at all then. The light is really good in that spot in my local coffee shop, plus the owner agreed to move a 4000k fluorescent lamp to the right spot for me...

A few more shots of the boys from our beach vacation. All images SOOC transferred to mobile for uploading. Even though i am primarily a RAW shooter, Jpegs from Fuji, specially in CC are so good that I now shoot both Raw and Jpeg. The first two images are from 56mm 1.2 using FW 4.0. I think with the firmware update, I now get a lot more keepers than before using zone focus.

Strobes make a big difference, so much more detail and better picture quality (sharper) compared to ambient alone. Used Einstein in a medium SB at lowest power settings:

Thanks. I had picked up Einstein again and wanted to try. Luckily they cooperated for couple of mins for few shots.
