Really, that's surprising.
I wouldn't think you could get s Utility Patent on a grid pattern, and have the claim be so broad that others couldn't sell and manufacture grids?
Grids for lights have been in use for so long now, Many Patents would be public domain.
Maybe a Design Patent? But Design Patents are typically very specific and thus easier to work around.
Anyway not trying to start an argument or anything, just find it interesting.
Toby

It is interesting to find out who owns a patent on the grid for the softbox?

My grids are expensive, as made to order according to customer requirements
For example, grid for parabox 4' will cost $ 168
Shipping in the US grid for parabox 4' will cost approximately $ 8.5
Payment is made after receipt and verification of the grid.
I suggest not to flood this topic and ask questions to my e-mail: softboxgrid@gmail.com

WHOOP WHOOP side barred again with a person posting to sell his product on their first post. I sure softboxgrid is not paying royalties to the patten owner. The reason grids cost so much is because the royalties to the patten owner.

If you don't have prove you can't write that.

Well looks like he just admitted to it, so what part of my statement is not true. The person you seek live in Canada that hold the pattens.

Do you want to make a judge in the battle against the titans "Lighttools (Canada) vs DoPchoice (Germany)"?

Does it come with a grid?

I have no clue. I don't work for Cheetahstand, but I support the products I use. I got to test two products and I want to keep them so I have to pay for them just like everyone else or send it back.

With in the last 2 years I have bought over 14 thousand dollars in gear for Cheetahstand, because I like the service and the product I get from Edward. When I went to Cheetahstand 2 months ago I watch Edward hand test every 360/v850/v860 to make sure every piece of that product was working, nothing was missing and pasted his standards. Not sure how many other companies or box stores do that? If you call the Cheetahstand number you will be talking to Edward the owner, to me that one on one customer service is fantastic.

Hand testing and quality assurance is what I like most from Cheetahstand

These look great! Too bad I missed the pre-order pricing, since I think I want both sizes. The off-the-shelf availability of an Elinchrom adapter is is also really great (though, I could really use a Dynalite insert). The coolest thing is the included fabric eggcrate. Nicely done, Cheetahstand! One question: Are the ribs made of Fiberglas or steel tubing?

I just watched Scott's video on the Cheetahstand website--great demo! Obviously, the product uses steel rods. The zippered-access is genius! Assembly looks easier than with other softboxes with steel rods. It also looks like I could attach any adapter insert onto the Cheetahstand 16-hole speedring with a bit of drilling and some fasteners. For my needs, I would need to fashion both a Dynalite and a Speedotron speedring (ideally, I would buy extra speedrings). Looks like a very nicely designed product!

I sent Edward an email with a trivial question about my shipment (which, incidentally, was prompt and arrived in perfect condition). He was delayed in responding to email because he was busy testing the CL600s, so he just called me to address my concern. How many businesses these days make that sort of effort?
