One thing I have got to remember, when I'm rushed like in a theme park, is that I never need F8 for depth of field at 22mm. I should have just left the lens at F4 for general shooting, and F2 only for when I'm in the darkest, dankest light.

I absolutely use the touch screen to focus when I'm at a park or on vacation, being able to raise it above the crowd, over your head, and touch where you want it to focus and take an image was very valuable to get people mostly out of the shots.

How do you turn off exposure simulation on the M? I cant find it for some reason.


With magic lantern it's dead simple to turn it on/off but I need to know how to do it from the stock menu.

After stalking this thread for literally years, I finally pulled the trigger on one of these guys today. Got the Mark 1 with the 22mm f2. My wife has really gotten into food photography and has a good eye. She has previously just been using her phone and I think all the buttons on the back of the camera intimidate her a bit. I think this will be a cool way for her to get higher quality pictures in a more accessible way and for her to start learning more about how they work. I would be lying if I said it was only for her, as I'm pretty excited to have a small camera where my big DSLR would be a bit overkill. It will also be nice to be able to pack this along with my 5D + 24-105 when we travel. That way I can have a fast prime ready to go if we need it. Looking forward to posting with you guys, keep up the good work!
