Interesting ... The question of updating the body is very personal, if you are satisfied with the results your camera hands you, here comes the question, why change?

If you are photographing as a hobby, the question of money is the main factor to initiate the changes.

if professional photographer, the question of upgrade will be investment in vocational careira.

I see one way; Shoot for myself and for hobby, body change only if it is even necessary.

ps: sometimes the hobby is expensive, and if you follow the whole release.

sorry for my English

This thread seems much more quiet than in the past. I understand the 450D is about 7 years old and many of you have probably upgraded.

My question (for those who are still following): What did you upgrade to? When? Why?

Since there is nothing physically wrong with my camera it remains my only body. I have been leaning heavily towards the 6D but am waiting until I know more about the new 6D being released next year. If I upgrade it will be to a full frame body but cost is a huge, huge factor. Since photography is not my source of income it is tough to spend so much.

Then get something cheaper. The 450D was my first DSLR back in 2008. Even if you get just a 70D like myself, it's a big jump from 450D.
