I revisited the satellite station with a mate again this week.

I'm a bit happier with the latest shots.

Another panormamic from this weeks milky way shoot.

I just purchased Autopano software and used it on this 18 image stitch. Easy to stitch and a better outcome that I got in Photoshop or Lightroom.

First time I have been able to get out to our new property south of Sunriver Oregon on a clear no moon night..... here are a couple quick ones. was having trouble staying awake since it's 11:30 before it was completely dark.

Can not wait to go back next month with my full setup.

One of mine. The stars are not that great due to the amount of smoke in the air from bushfires which are all over southern Africa at this time of year. Canoe fly camp on the Kafue river, Zambia.

You should try Microsoft ICE. It's free if you are on a PC and I've found it to be equal to Autopano but faster.

I tried ICE as well, but didn't like the output either.

I'd say they all work with some images, but better with others.

My second attempt at shooting the Milky Way.
I picked this one from a 12 sec. timelapse sequence. Turns out this was the frame w/ the smallest amount of clouds showing.

Such great work in this thread! Very inspiring. :-)

I haven't had great luck so far in finding good locations for nightscapes around here but this is a relatively recent shot that I'm pretty happy with. I wasn't expecting to get any good shots of this tree but as the sun was coming up on the left and with the city lights on the right I think it turned out alright.

Cheers!

^^^ That is a sweet shot, perfect timing getting the transition from night to day.

Didn't expect the moon to be so bright in this shot, washed out all the stars.
