Brand new 125i, not mine sadly, just a test drive for a magazine review.

My buddy had one of these on a recent trip. I was able to borrow it for the day. Nice lens.

Can I ask a quick question about your pic. The carrage on the left looks a little distorted. Do you think that's perspective or lens distortion. Ive got the 24-105 and its great, but I'm becoming increasingly paranoid about the distortion at the wide end, so the 24-70 is high on my wish list at the moment, hence the question. I've read tons on the subject just this pic caught my eye. Cheers

Yeah the distortion did annoy me a bit on this pic. But i also think that the lens correction on Lightroom aided to the distortion weirdly. I had an order for the image and have since corrected it even further so there is no distortion. But as you can see here... this is straight out of camera

Thanks Anthony. Yes I've found that with LR sometimes; for these types of lenses I think the correction profile mainly fixes barrell distortion and therefore can make the stretched distortion at the edges worse. I've found dxo viewpoint gives a better level of control. Good job on lighting the "Absinthe'' picture, looks great.
