Wow..... slowhand himself! That's quite an experience I bet.

I play PF's records till they broke and I bought new ones....in fact, I still play them!....LOUD! :-P

Yeah, and to see them live...!!!

(I did make it to a concert in Vancouver, BC!!!)

Hey, gang, I don't know if this photo and discussion from FaceBook shows up, but hey, sometimes things have a way of bringing both a smile and tears...

[EDIT] Never mind, limited "permissions"...

Anyway, it was a photo of me and my circle of closest friends from back in I think 1968...two of them have "passed", and my sister took it and "shared" it and it keeps popping up...

And sure, it's an old "lousy" photo, but still...

Sometimes photos are more than just the correct exposure or the right brand or gear.

that's why a photograph is worth a thousand words. It's not just the story it can tell, sometimes it's the memory.

There was the morning when I was in college in Santa Barbara when my sister called to let me know that Mimi had died...

And then there was the morning, October 31st 1993, when I answered the door to be informed that my son Judah had died in a car wreck...

And through it all, "How I Wish You Were Here", and "Shine On You Crazy Diamond"!!

And there's nothing like a photo to stir the memories...

And then, my sister Cindy came to town last year, with family members on the way to an Alaskan cruise, but they made a stop here...she and I sat near the banks of the Columbia River, and "shared hearts"...going back to "the day" and my friends who she had shared with me, and forward...

I didn't have a camera with me, but I do have a couple here with my beloved grandson Israel near our River...Israel has battled for his life through a heart condition and four open-heart surgeries, but he survives...

And, "In my life, I've loved them all"...

For those who are "watching", my grandson Israel has been one who has been close to me, through it all...we have some special memories...

We do have memories, an old film photo of him, a photo of him celebrating with his mother, and then a "favorite" of mine, showing his soul streaming through his eyes...I'm having a hard time getting the photos to "embed", but...
