Love that it has the bounce card. Has a rotating wheel (it seems) and it has a full swivel head like the bigger guys and it's smaller and lighter than before!

I think this will be a major win for the entry speedlight crowd. I know I preferred the 430 over the 580 when maximum light output wasn't needed due to the size/weight savings it provided.

I think yongnuo has canon beat for most user needs

Canon needs it if the RT flashes are to be fully successful. The system is great but the cost of admission is pretty high compared to 3rd party/older canon flashes and ETTL triggers.

I have the 600EX RT and what's with canon and the defuser ? The 430exIII RT looks kind of small?

I think they screwed up again making it a slave only device.

Both Canon and Nikon do it. Aside from protecting the top of the line model I don't understand why.

eh... just make em all master capable geez. hobbyist on a budget who want name brand would benefit from this 430 being a master capable.

The 430EX II was slave only, but the 430EX III-RT can be both slave or master.
